This is a lovely winter dish. Spicy and satisfying.

We made it…just as they say, with the exception of leaving out the cloves, all spice and fenugreek and reducing the cayenne. We’ve made it by skipping the chickpea roasting and either way is fine. We also often don’t cook it as long because we’re impatient.
We ate it…6 servings/3 meals
We thought… this is one of our favorites. The pita (preferably Chris’) is a must for cooling our mouths down.
